I was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey where I spent most of my life. In 2011, I moved to New York and started the 4-year Strategic Design and Management program at Parsons the New School for Design. In 2017, I completed General Studies as a Full-time program at International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York with Rita K. Hillman Award for excellence.

I’m currently exploring the themes of silenced eroticism and conflicts of identity, which has led me to question the (in)visibility of self within my work. Through visceral and reflective gestures, I animate the body in abstract ways to convey the intimate relationship between our physical form and states of being and capture the beauty of physical and mental contortions.
