Untitled (Study of a Parody)

In Untitled (Study of a Parody), I explore the theme of abjection by the philosopher Julia Kristeva through the surrealist philosopher George Bataille’s essay the Solar Anus. In Bataille's first sentence in Solar Anus, he states: “It is clear that the world is purely parodic, in other words, that each thing seen is the parody of another, or is the same thing in a deceptive form”.
